Currently the demand for coffee is continuously growing, their remains many challenges which can affect our supply chain, central to these efforts is our push for inclusion and promoting human rights is paramount to our success.

Our non-profit subsidiary Basch Helps has already played an integral role by providing early intervention and relief to vulnerable individuals and families around Greater London.

Globally, Finjan Al Basch works with local partners that respect and adhere to international guidelines and standards on human rights. We as an organisation in its entirety support the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and the ILO’s Fundamental Conventions.

Ensuring that our suppliers are transparent and keep records of their employees and are willing to be audited at any moment’s notice combined with a unified communication awareness programme that informs all our stakeholders and employees of any new insights or evolving human rights challenges such as modern slavery and how Together As 1, we can address such as issues and counteract them effectively.

This is particularly relevant when sourcing our raw materials such as coffee beans, cocoa and spices. To achieve this we have placed a formidable sustainable sourcing programme which ensures full traceability from harvest, processing to warehouse delivery.

Our buying team proactively work with international partners to audit, monitor suppliers and direct farm suppliers are abiding by their obligations to implementing the best possible employment practices and by checking on the welfare of their staff through personal inspections.
