Siphon/Vacuum Pot
German engineering at its finest.
The syphon/vacuum pot is truly an attractive proposition for any coffee admirer as it bridges scientific experimentation with coffee sophistication that would even make Sir Isaac Newton ditch his tea for a shot of coffee.
Your coffee chemistry set basically uses a source of combustion to heat the water, creating a vapour pressure which pushes the water flow upwards, which blooms your coffee and then as it cools, gravity pushes your finished brew down to unleash a range of aromatics and notes that you wouldn’t otherwise achieve with any other brewing method.
